On Thursday, Addie will bring home a walker and new, longer braces from The Bell Center.
My daughter will use a walker to give her more mobility at school and at home.
This is a great thing!
So why does it make my heart ache?
I asked Chris to go with me...to help...surely it's just because juggling Addie and her walker to the car is just more than I want to handle alone - physically, because there is no reason for this to be emotionally difficult for me.
After all, my daughter needs this walker...because she can't do it alone.
Mobility is a gift, not to be taken for granted.
