When Chris and I walked into Addie's classroom this afternoon, Addie's teacher had the sweetest story for us!
Keep in mind that Addie's cognitive abilities are very much delayed and from one moment to the next, it is a guessing game on what she comprehends and what she doesn't. So imagine my complete delight when I heard what Ms. Morgan had to tell me...
She said that Addie went up to her this afternoon and said, "My Momma?".
I think most people wouldn't have picked up on what Addie was asking.
Ms. Morgan told Addie that "Mommy isn't here yet, but she will be here soon".
To that, Addie replied:
"Oooh" and walked away.
Addie asked a real question to her teacher, not just saying something in an attempt to get help, but to actually inquire about something (ME!).
We were so thrilled to hear such wonderful news!
Small, small baby steps we continue to make.
Thank you all for your continued prayers and support!
