Day 4
December 29, 2010I found us a cozy little out of the way place to take a break and have some lunch.
The weather was mild enough that we could finally shed two layers of clothing, so it was nice to sit outside and people watch...!
We were tucked away from the crowds, so I let Addie stretch her legs for a few minutes.
We were sitting and chatting and the next thing we knew The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2 came by!
Addie never "asked" for anything, but Julien was determined to find her something special. When he ran across Thing 1 and Thing 2 - Addie sized for her little hands - he had me buy them immediately.
Addie was thrilled!
Addie was thrilled!
Although we encountered one rude person after the next, the workers at the fish ride were very nice.
For the vast majority of the time, we didn't have to wait to ride any of the rides.
The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride (as seen in The Cat in the Hat picture above) wound its way through Seuss Land and through one of the restaurants.
It was really neat.
It had a 140 minute wait time - we literally walked right on - no wait.
At least I was a dry whiny baby britches!
The temperature dropped fast as night approached, but we toughed it out...knowing it would be a while - if we ever went back.
As with anything in life, the experience was what we made of it.
The crowds were atrocious, the people were rude, but we still managed to enjoy ourselves.
