I normally wouldn't post this kind of stuff, but it is for a great cause - benefiting the Helena and Pelham Youth Athletic Association....which benefits my child - which reveals my true selfish reason for writing this.
This concert is family friendly and is going to be a pretty big deal for our community.

Event Operations Group presents Three-time platinum recording artist “IYAZ”, along with special guest, “Mann” LIVE in concert at the Pelham Civic Complex on Friday, May 4, 2012. IYAZ is best known for his top 40 pop hits “REPLAY”, “SOLO”, and “PRETTY GIRLS”, and for his appearances on the wildly popular Disney television show, “Hannah Montana”, and the subsequent movie, “Hannah Montana Forever”. Both artist were discovered by Sean Kingston and are signed to Kingston’s record label.
His association with Miley Cyrus and Disney led to the Hanna Montana/IYAZ collaboration, "Gonna Get This". The song was featured on the Hannah Montana Forever soundtrack and peaked at #1 on Radio Disney’s Top 30 Countdown three weeks in a row. Iyaz has also recorded with many other Disney artists like Big Time Rush and Demi Lovato. Look for IYAZ to be featured in the soon-to-be-released major motion picture, “21 Coconuts”.
The show is produced by Mike Jones and Event Operations Group. The athletic association approached Jones back in 2011 and requested assistance with this concert fund raiser. The Event Operations Group promotions staff looked long and hard for an artist which would appeal to the youth, be approved by the parents, and also provide a good well rounded performance for all. They signed a deal with A2Z Entertainment and famed executive producer Steve Lobel to provide IYAZ and MANN as the artist. Jones stated, “I feel confident in these artist to provide a good clean show, a high energy performance, and they have the ability to sell out this arena! These guys are all over Disney radio and TV. They have toured with some of the biggest artist in the industry and they have the stamp of approval from the parents and kids alike. We are very excited to be a part of this event.”
This show is a special onetime event with IYAZ and MANN. The producers have designed a dance party atmosphere with an open VIP pit floor in front and on each side of the side of the stage. It will be a dance party within a concert. We are building a dance floor and separate house effect lighting for the entire floor audience. There will be a VIP Pre Party and artists meet & greet prior to the show. A very limited number of tickets to the pre party will be on sale to the public as well, so everyone has the opportunity to meet the artist if they jump on the VIP tickets before they sell out. A special “red carpet lounge” will be free for adults only in the rear of the floor area. The lounge will feature white table cloth high tables and chairs, exclusive beverage stations, a stage viewing area, and upscale amenities. There will also be a JAMM Post Party right after the show in the Civic Complex banquet hall.
The concert is being hosted by the Helena and Pelham Youth Athletic Associations and all proceeds will benefit local youth programs.
Tickets for this special event will go on-sale to the public Friday, March 16th at 10:00am. Tickets may be purchased through Ticketbisquit at the Pelham Civic Complex box office or online at pelhamciviccomplex.com. A full sell out is expected for this show! The producers have elected to open private tickets for sell by the students for a period of three weeks prior to the public ticket sales to ensure every student has the opportunity to purchase a ticket prior to the tickets being released to the public. Pre sell tickets will be available from any student athlete associated with the Helena and Pelham school youth athletic programs and will be available at each school during lunch class. The school that sells the most tickets will win a special appearance at the school by IYAZ on the day of the show.
