Guaranteed to Offend Someone...

Possibly several someone's.

Blah, blah, blah...I get it.  Everybody is different, everybody takes things different ways, grieves in different ways, yadda, yadda, yadda.

So....someone is going to be remarkably ticked off by this post because there are random people who read the blog who like to rip things to shreds.

***Disclaimer - this is not a negative review of the site that sells these items.  The site is actually really neat.  This post is my irritating take on some on the slogans.  This is not meant to be derogatory towards the creator(s) of the slogans or the seller(s) of these items***

Jenn, Sam and Shelly - I truly hope this doesn't offend you.

I don't know how I ran across this, other than I was meandering through this site and happened upon it.
As a general rule, I'm not a bumper sticker sticking, coffee cup displaying, key chain giving kind of person.

So, I was a bit taken aback when I saw these.  Keep in mind, I was a bit surprised that there was even "awareness items" that could be purchased for Microcephaly, but I just don't think I want to bring awareness to Microcephaly by putting a slogan on a shirt for my dog:

Microcephaly awareness lasts Dog T-Shirt

a thong...seriously?  I could probably count on one hand the number of people who would get to see my "Microcephaly Awareness" thong and if they were looking at it, chances are they are already very much aware....although the "Made in the USA" slogan sure was catching my eye.

Microcephaly awareness lasts Classic Thong
how about an ornament?  Exactly what I would want to adorn my tree during the stressful joy of the season...a reminder of what we live with everyday.

Microcephaly awareness lasts Oval Ornament
here we go.  Seeing as how I literally take life minute by minute, wouldn't it be just great to have something that not only ticks away the seconds, but also gives me a visual reminder of why I force myself to live in the moment, every single day of my life?:

Small Head + Big heart Wall Clock
better yet, how about I put this on before heading to the swim club?  Wow...talk about eye catching:

Small Head + Big heart Jr.Spaghetti Strap
how about the remarkably inappropriate boxer shorts?  Somebody didn't give that too much thought.
Small Head + Big heart Boxer Shorts
or, how about an article for every season?  Wouldn't I be the hit of the next football party?

Small Head + Big heart Fitted Hoodie

Seriously?
People already think I'm off my rocker, I don't need to give them more reasons to stare and gossip.

Yes, everyone grieves differently. But, I don't think I've ever met anyone whose grief requires them to create and peddle completely tasteless products. Holy. Friggin'. Cow.
The boxers did crack me up, though.

I am glad you guys found some humor, because I found these items totally tasteless. I cannot imagine they would sale one item of this nature, but then I know there are a lot of tasteless people in this world. I will be honest, I appreciate the support for breast cancer, but I have a hard time seeing the "pink" on meaningless items such as golf balls. That is just one old lady's opinion.
