104.1 and no relief in sight. Today has been really tough on Addie. I called the nurse tonight when Addie's fever kept rising. I am petrified this fever will cause a seizure. The nurse reminded me of the steps to take if a seizure does occur...911 if Addie turns blue or if the seizure lasts longer than a few minutes, the E.R. if a seizure lasts longer than a minute or so, etc...so clinical. This is my BABY we are talking about. She also reminded me that this is the prime age for seizures to begin in children with neurological abnormalities.
As the conversation continued with the nurse, I learned that her nieces' child was also born with Primary Microcephaly. To make a long story short, that precious little girl is functioning at the level at which we were told Addie would function. I almost burst into tears as the nurse was telling me the details. It only reaffirmed what I already knew; I was holding a true miracle from God in my arms. God is showing this world his miraculous powers through Addie. I covet your prayers.
