Missing nap

is not a good thing nor is it recommended.
We won't talk about why my Baby Girl missed her nap...just join with me in screams of pure frustration!
While I was putting clothes away in Addie's room after nap, she grabbed Big Bertha and proceeded to "talk" with her about nap and even asked Bertha if she understood what she was saying.
Mind you, it was all in Addie babble, but she had a nice little conversation with Bertha about taking a nap and then after asking her if she understood, Addie finished the conversation with an, "okay?".

Addie was mimicking me.

I could tell from the sound of her voice that she was telling Bertha to lay down and go night night. After she told Bertha to lay down and go night night, she asked her if she understood.

After I talk to Addie about something, I ask, "Addie, do you understand Mommy?".

There are times when she will answer "yes" and there are times when I get no response and so I reword what I am trying to say until Addie responds and lets me know that she understands.

After I get an affirmative answer from Addie, I say, "okay".

Addie is one very receptive little Baby Girl!
(She's learning!!!!)

Addie and Big Bertha

You guys remember Big Bertha, don't you?
Addie decided to take her for a walk today and I just couldn't get enough of watching Addie.
I never knew if I would ever see moments like this.
These pictures bring so much joy to my heart!
Your prayers mean more to us than you could ever imagine.
We are grateful beyond words for moments like this!

Addie was so excited that I was taking pictures of her and Bertha.

She is so very proud of herself!

It is always appreciated!

For the first time that I can remember, Chris and I have taken off work for Spring Break.
We are taking Julien and Addie on a much needed mini vacation.
As our friends are preparing for Disney World, Gatlinburg and Alaska, we are preparing for a much closer vacation in hopes that we can withstand The Monkey Car Crier.
If you don't mind, please say an extra prayer for us. Please pray for our safety and please pray for Addie's comfort and contentment in the car.
We really, really need this time of joy and a lower level of stress.
Bless my family for baby sitting our kitties and house.
Maybe our elderly kitties won't reek too much havoc on my family who just so happens to think cats are not the greatest pet that ever roamed the earth!
Everyone enjoy their Spring Break and we'll be back soon!

I've left a few more pictures of Sweet Baby Girl to automatically post in the next two days - enjoy!

Pictures of the day!

Lovin' her music!

My niece, Gabi, gave Chunky Monkey the best hand-me-down present on the face of the earth - a music player with a microphone!

My little Monkey loves music and is a dancing diva!
Her favorite song on the music player is Birdie Bye-Bye and I find myself singing it while walking down the halls at work, taking a shower and driving in the car.
It could be worse...Barney tunes could be stuck in my head instead.
Look at sweet Baby Girl, she is having so much fun!
These are some of my all time favorite pictures!
Never mind the untucked onesie, it adds character.
One of the sweetest pictures ever!

Ta-Da!

Things move slow in a small town

Chunk and I had a few errands to take care of today and on the way home, we got stopped by a train.
Chunk loves trains now that she has been able to fully connect the sound with the object.
She gets so excited when we tell her that a train is coming.
We have to put the windows on the car down, turn off the radio and just as the engine approaches, Chunky Monkey starts waving and saying, "hi"!
Today, we had a very sleepy train, who took it's time.
It was great and it was moving so slow that I had time to sit and analyze the trains cars.
I'm a little confused.
How is it that people have the time to paint graffiti on the side of a train?
How is it that they have the disposable income to buy that much paint and how in the world do they get up that high to paint it, much less finish it without being caught?
Seriously.

Monkey loved watching the train go by!Really, how'd they get up that high?
Do they carry special ladders for graffiti outings?
Is it the size of a ring box and they press a button on top and it magically unfolds to standard rail car height?
The use of colors is impressive...and must have cost a pretty penny.
That first word is like a hidden picture - which I'm terrible at...so if that word ends up being profanity of some kind, forgive me for not forewarning you.

This one made me laugh.
Obviously, the person that bestowed their artistic talent on the left side of this unsuspecting rail car, had a bit more talent than the one on the right.
If ever I felt the need to spray paint graffiti onto a train, it would probably look like the one on the right.
I find it difficult to mess up a circle and an "x".
Although, I'm probably simplifying some really well known gang sign!

Don't steal my fun and tell me there are community art programs that allow artists to express themselves on CSX Property in order to advertise their talent on a multistate moving billboard!

Worms are disgusting!

That sentence sums it up.

Celebrating Nine Years!

My sweet girl had a very busy day! We spent the day by having lunch at one of Addie's favorite restaurants, then I took her s...
