Christmas at Nada's

We had Christmas at Nada's today. We had a nice day visiting with family, great food and cute presents for the kids.

Aha!

It looks like the penguin just sort of snuck his way into the photo...doesn't it?

A morning with The Clause's

Each year, Blue Cross always hosts "A morning with The Clause's". We always have a good time going and getting pictures made with Santa and Mrs. Clause. We missed last year because I was just too miserable to venture out on a Saturday morning, so we made up for it this year. Addie and Julien didn't want their picture made with Santa, but we did take the traditional picture with Mrs. Clause and enjoyed the other festivities that were taking place. Julien was pleased to see everyone again and Addie was in the best mood!
Check out the bottom picture - this is the tree in front of Blue Cross. While we were outside taking pictures, a family came up and their precious little girl asked her mother "how can they afford such a big tree?". I knew that it had probably been drilled into her how expensive trees are... too cute.
Julien loves seeing this tree each year, he can't get over how big the ornaments are. Addie wasn't as enamored with the tree as she was with the handfuls of grass that she was picking up...

I asked Kim from "Unique Expressions by Kim" http://sharitphotos.blogspot.com/ to make the invitations for Addie's birthday party. I was VERY pleased and think they turned out beautifully! Date and time have been cropped for obvious reasons! Please let Kim know if you need any announcements or invitations! She is wonderful!

A rare moment

I took Addie to Ceramic Creations as part of my Christmas gift to have her footprints as a keepsake. As you can tell from the picture, she was NOT happy with Gigi touching her! Everybody always comments about how happy Addie always is AND SHE NORMALLY IS, as long as people leave her alone.... :)

"More"

Addie has started signing "more"!!!! Anna called me this morning to tell me the great news! She said Allie and Addie were sitting in the high chairs eating breakfast. Allie was making more "racket", so she was getting more bites than Addie. Anna said all of a sudden Addie started signing "more"! Amy, Addie's other teacher, said that at lunch Addie was signing as well. I am so very proud of Addie! It is no surprise that "more" would be her first sign! It has been drilled into her for the last eleven months!

Thank God for this precious gift! Addie is trying to communicate "more" and "more"!
:)

HO, HO, HO...MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Twas the 2nd of December and all through the mall,
kids were running and screaming with nothing to stall.
Addie was all snuggled in my arms with care,
in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be near.
We hustled and bustled and made our way through,
knowing no line could make us turn blue.
Anticipation was high, the moment came quick,
and before we all knew her wish had come true.
Not a tear was shed, the moment just flew.
As we made our way out, the happiness just grew.
We heard him exclaim as we walked out of sight,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good-night!

Celebrating Nine Years!

My sweet girl had a very busy day! We spent the day by having lunch at one of Addie's favorite restaurants, then I took her s...
